Encoding & Decoding
Encoding is not encryption. Base64 does not protect secrets. Inputs and results are processed in a local Worker, never uploaded, written to URLs or saved.
How to use
Select a format and encode/decode operation, enter text, then convert and copy the result. Reverse using result fills the input and switches the operation; convert again to check the reverse transformation. Changing the input, format or operation clears old results.
Examples & FAQ
Base64 examples: Hello → SGVsbG8=; 中文 → 5Lit5paH. Hex example: 中文 → e4b8ade69687. Whitespace and line breaks are part of the original text and are preserved when encoding.
URL component decoding preserves + signs; form decoding converts them to spaces. For example, a+b stays a+b with URL decoding but becomes a b with form decoding.
Base64 and Hex can represent arbitrary bytes; this tool currently converts UTF-8 text only. Non-UTF-8 decoded bytes produce an error. HTML decoding does not parse tags or execute scripts and is not an HTML sanitizer. Encoded results larger than 1 MiB must be reduced before using them as another input.
